…My head was swimming…the room was swaying…my stomach was lurching!

We made it up the stairs to our room where I collapsed on the bed and prayed that I wouldn’t be sick again. The landlady had offered to make some sandwiches for us and soon delivered them to our door but mine remained uneaten. I just wanted to go to sleep…Pat just wanted to talk!

I closed my eyes and cursed; symbols were twirling in my mind. I opened my eyes, the symbols were still there rolling around the room like bubbles blown from a bubble machine.  Then I realised it was actually only one symbol – a platonic solid- the icosohedron which represents the element of water.

‘Pat?’

Pat was stretched out on her bed munching her sandwiches and wondering if we should make some tea which she thought might make me feel better.

‘Pat, can you see symbols?’ I asked.

‘In the room?’

‘Yes.’

‘Yes, the icosohedron.’

‘That’s the one.’ I said. ‘So, I’m not imagining it?’

As I said in my first article, Pat was an experienced Earth Healer and a gifted psychic. She worked with her own spirit guide who used the generic name of White Eagle. She seemed to take everything in her stride and I felt sure that we had been put together for a reason. Certainly we seemed to work well as a team and shared the same sense of humour. Some mutual friends likened us to a spiritual version of Laurel and Hardy and the Two Ronnies. Personally I found our unique blend of openness to the incredible, enthusiasm for the zany, combined with innate practicality quite refreshing irrespective of celebrity look-alikes. I’m not made for the monastic approach to spiritual expression although I thoroughly enjoy a quiet meditation and a tranquil space to retreat to when time permits.

‘I wonder what it means – why we’re seeing it here, in the room.’  I mused.

‘Portals.’ Stated Pat emphatically. ‘We’ve just been through one.’

‘So?’

‘I’m not sure, but White Eagle says all portals are in the dimension of water.’

‘But we didn’t go through any water.’

‘Not physically, but we crossed the river, didn’t we? And we’re here to work with the waters of the Earth, starting with the well spring at Strata Florida. It’s all tied up with elemental forces. He’s telling me that we had to go through, into the other dimension, to retrieve a symbol to be used at the well, which is another portal.’

‘Is he talking to you now?’

‘Hmm, but he’s not really saying much more than that. I think I ought to make that tea.’

But she made no move towards the tea tray and seemed lost in thought.

After several more minutes had passed, during which a menacing figure dressed all in black appeared amongst the symbols, I broke the silence.

‘Can you see the man in the black cloak?’ I asked.

‘Uh, huh,’ she replied.

‘I don’t like the look of him,’ I volunteered as the etheric figure cast dark thoughts and symbols into the whirlpool of icosahedrons.

‘Nope,’ she agreed, getting up to fill the kettle from the sink in the corner of the room, ‘I think we might have a spot of bother with him.’

She busied herself making the tea whilst i continued to watch the antics of our uninvited guest.

‘No Earl Gray, I’m afraid, just bog standard PG Tips.’ She poured the water into the cups and briefly dunked one tea bag between the two.

‘Of course, you shouldn’t have told them where we going to be,’ she added, passing me the weakest brew I had ever been unfortunate enough to drink- even worse than anything an Italian could have made. Now I love Pat dearly (as I do Italians) but one thing I’m an expert at and she isn’t (neither are Italians) is making tea! I screwed up my face and manfully tried to drink the pale, tasteless liquid. What a waste of a good tea-bag.

‘What do you mean?’ I asked indignantly, beginning to feel less sick as the tea warmed my gut and stomach. ‘Who are ‘them’? And I didn’t tell anyone where we were going.’

‘You shouldn’t have booked this place so early. I never book a B&B until I arrive, that way they don’t know I’m coming.’

‘Who? Who don’t know?’

‘Them – the dark side. Gives them less time to prepare. White Eagle always tells me not to warn  them I’m coming and to get out as soon as my work is done.’

If you ever met Pat you might find this talk of nefarious doings by the ‘other’ side being uttered by a woman who, despite her ample figure, flamboyant dress and idiosyncratic behaviour, is the epitome of domestic bon-homie, quite incongruous. Certainly in my early acquaintance with her I had fleetingly wondered if she had escaped from one of those secluded homes for people who had larger than life imaginations. But these doubts had vanished almost as soon as they had appeared for my own guides and other Lightworkers had already opened my mind to this darker aspect of the universe and, of course, our own nature and mind. I decided to take the presence of this dark shaman in our room as a threat and silently summoned the protection of Artemis’ wolves.

‘You didn’t warn me about that when I told you I’d book the B&B.’ I accused.

‘Well, you’ll know next time,’ she beamed. ‘What do you make of it here?’ She asked.

‘I’m not sure. It’s got a strange energy and – ‘

‘Yes?’

‘I can’t explain, but, well there’s something weird about the people here, it’s almost as if they’re, sort of actors in a play. There’s something unreal about them.’

Now who was being fanciful?

‘Yes,’ agreed Pat, working her way into a pair of pink pyjamas, ‘That’s what I feel and there’s lots of psychic stuff going on outside. This is a very spooky site. I don’t think it was chance that you booked in here.’

It was almost a year later that Madeleine sent me information about the site of our hotel revealing that it had once been the location of a stone circle and an ancient sacred place.

I shivered, slipped into my own pyjamas and snuggled under the covers. As I summoned yet more wolves to sleep by my side the dark shaman finally dissolved leaving just the symbols for company.

‘Of course,’ quipped Pat perkily as she turned off the lights, ‘it could just be because they’re Welsh! And please stop calling in all these wolves, there’s hardly any room for me in my own bed!’

Next time: Dawn breaks and with it we almost break a leg as we clamber towards the Strata Forida Well, take a dip in the initiation pit at the ruined Abbey  and Pat tumbles into the Glasffrwd river but keeps her drum dry!

You are a sleeping angel- it’s time to wake up!

To awaken the angel within you need to activate your own Turning Zone, to understand why I called the first part of this trilogy The Turning Zone.  What does it mean?

“You are the Wayshowers, the Turning of Zones…” (The Turning Zone, ch.28, p 225)

The Turning Zone , together with parts two and three (yet to be written),  contains aspects of universal truth and wisdom. Perhaps the most important truth for mankind at this moment in time is to realise that there truly is no such thing as death. Death of the physical body is merely a transformation. The spirit never dies and when you become a Master of Matter then you are consciously able to transform the very molecules of your physical body into a higher vibration of light – a vibration not visible to those on lower frequencies.

Sadly too many people believe that when they pass from this world there is nothing beyond. For me this is so far from the truth. It isn’t a question of belief in an afterlife, it is a question of KNOWLEDGE  because I’ve been there. Even as a young child I knew there were other worlds, other realities and that this world was not my true home. Every second of your life here is precious and never wasted. Each moment affords the individual with a unique opportunity to experience life in human form and to use that experience for spiritual growth.

In The Turning Zone, Sam and Sophie come to realise this first truth. They are presented with various symbols and analogies relating to death and rebirth. The Turning Zone is an allegorical tale.

Life in the physical affords many opportunities to grow and master the lessons that are necessary in order to break free of the pull of materialism and ascend into higher levels of learning, higher worlds of experience. The Mayan Prophecy foretells the ending of the world in December 2012, or more accurately the conclusion of one cycle of time and the beginning of another. This is the eponymous  Turning Zone – a period when humanity has the opportunity to raise itself into a higher level of expression, a higher level of consciousness . It is like graduating from school and enrolling in university.

But in order to do this each and every person has to become awakened- has to learn how to raise their personal vibration to release the old third dimensional consciousness – the world of survivalism,  tribalism and duality – and come into what is called Unity Consciousness- the awareness that all life has one source, that we are all personal expressions of that source and  that we are all brothers and sisters within the universal  family of life. Thus not only is the year 2012 a physical Turning Zone but each one of us must also become our own Turning Zone- each one of us must make the personal effort to overcome our fears, our conditioning from many lifetimes and return the world back to its true destiny, a world of love, joy and creativity. For the world to change it is necessary for its people to change.

Releasing the past and embracing a new philosophy is not always as easy as it sounds. It can involve a great deal of effort and commitment  to comprehend and overcome the darker aspects of soul and mind- these are the  Manderinis in The Turning Zone. This is one aspect of self-love – loving yourself enough to find that time and make that effort – that we all have to embrace in order to find the freedom and joy which is our pot of gold at the end of our personal rainbow. But just like my hero and heroine,  we are never alone.  We have been accompanied on  our human journey by many angels and teachers. As the“wisest entity in the cosmos” tells Sophie, “This isn’t your first lesson you know. I’ve been instructing you for a long time- many lives” (The Turning Zone, ch 16, p132.)

We are surrounded by an army of angels and star brothers helping to raise us up to the level at which we can access the new realities which will become available to those who are ready to walk through the stargates that are opening now.  They’re just waiting for you to turn to them and ask for help and unlike most things in this life, their services are free! Just ask and you will receive. If you are feeling lost, confused, emotional, fearful these are all promptings from your soul to awaken and embrace the New World unfolding now. The power to change is within you, just ask for guidance and you will be shown the way and become a Wayshower to others!

‘Is it easy? To gain mastery?’

The dwarf shook his head causing the feathers on his hat to tickle Sophie’s nose.

‘Not at all,’ he chuckled, ‘not at all – unless – ’

‘Unless?’

‘Unless you take off your glasses, then it’s easy.’

‘But I don’t wear glasses.’

Whether we like it or not, whether we’re aware of it or not, we are all on a journey to re-discover our true nature. Of course, that is just my opinion and you are free to agree or disagree with me, for the one thing I believe we all have is free will. Here again, you may choose to argue that the last thing humanity has is free will depending on your own personal beliefs, experiences and perceptions. How then, can anyone find or recognise the truth when they do re-discover it?

I can only share with you my own personal journey, my search for this truth and hope that in some way it will support the reader in their own search.  In my books and articles I can only offer my own perceptions, my own unique ‘spectacles’ on the world, both inner and outer and like the heroine , Sophie in my novel The Turning Zone, many people are totally unaware that they are burdened with blinkers.

How then to remove the conditioning of many lifetimes? How to open our eyes and see clearly? How to prepare ourselves and others for the changes that lay ahead when so many are content to remain sleeping? I believe the first indispensable tool is to have an open mind and secondly, but by no means inferior to it, is the need to unlock the love in our hearts and to trust the intuition which lies there.

Hi all. Really excited that I’ve finally published my first full length novel, The Turning Zone, kindle version available at Amazon It’s a book for all ages written, as it is, in the age old style of a Grail Quest- even has a knight in rusty armour!

Not into new age spirituality? No problem – this is a book you can enjoy for the sheer humour of following my hero and heroine through a series of trials and tribulations, but if you are into Crystal Skulls, Druids and Fairies then you will find a lot to contemplate within its pages as Sam and Sophie tumble through Earth Portals into the realm of fantasy and illusion. Within the chapters of this adventure novel are written some profound truths relating to the forthcoming shifts in the consciousness of all people on Earth.

Go on Grannys and Grandpas – settle down to an evening of unicorns and flying pigs with your Grandchildren – they’ll love it but I bet you’ll love it more! And don’t forget, our children and grandchildren are the future, it’s important that they understand their right to freedom of expression and freedom from the oppression of fear.  There are numerous levels in which to interpret this novel, including ‘right of passage’ for teenagers as Sam and Sophie have to begin to learn the art of discrimination and sift reality from illusion.

The Turning Zone is the first part in a trilogy but stands alone as a light-hearted adventure. For those who are interested in the esoteric/spiritual aspects of the story I have begun a series of articles available on the article pages of this blog and also on the Earthcall web site later this year when I will also launch the paper version and be embarking on a series of talks and promotions.
